Incorporated in Egypt by Sultan, Ahmad Fou'ad's decree passed on
12/7/1920 , with EGP 25.000 (EGP twenty -five thousand) capital . EC's statute was
amended under the provisions of law No . 203/1991 for Public Enterprises
Companies ; and its executive regulation.

Authorized Capital :- EGP 1500 millions (EGP one thousand five
hundred millions)
Issued
Capital:- EGP 750 millions (EGP seven hundred fifty
millions) divided into 50 (fifty five) million shares; each is EGP 15 par value
duly paid.
%55 of EC shares owned by the state represented in HC, 5% by
shareholder association, and 40% public & private companies and banks especially
investment funds and Egyptian & foreign individuals
EC Objectives:-

Industry & Trade of tobacco, tobacco
products and their equirements.

commercial, industrial, agricultural or
servicing activity.

Acquisition and construction of
real-estates, and purchase & subdivision of
lands for use, lease or sale
purposes.
4 - Import, export & trade agencies.
5 - Incorporation, taking part in
incorporation, purchase of, or shareholding
in companies involved in or may help
achieve or develop any of EC objectives after approval from (HC).Through existing quality policy, EC strives to make its products
unique,competitive
and highly profitable, and to gain customer satisfaction in all domestic and foreign markets. EC's quality policy yields an applicably effective and authenticated quality assurance system that meets the requirements
of the international standard
(ISO 2008:2009).
EC was awarded national investment grade rating AA
according to
MERIS.
